Maria Paez is in her fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and specializing in accounting. Her opportunistic mindset is what gravitated her to become co-planner for the 38th McMaster World Congress. Through her previous roles at associations such as JDCC and Greensuits, she has gained intrapersonal and leadership skills that she will pass onto the team as she works alongside her peers and business professionals. During her breaks from academics and extracurricular activities, she likes to take advantage of travel deals and explore countries through adventurous experiences.

Dominic Ventresca is a Hamilton native in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business, specializing in Finance and Marketing.  He has a keen interest in the world of sports analytics and hopes to one-day work for a local sports organization to grow athletics in the area.  In addition to his love for sports, he enjoys travelling, reading and pushing his limits everyday.  Dominic is thrilled to be a part of the McMaster World Congress this year and hopes to provide students with an opportunity to get involved in the world of sports management and analytics.

Alexandra Caamano is currently in second year at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business in Honours Bachelor of Commerce. She is very excited to be a part of this years sponsorship team for the McMaster World Congress. Alex appreciates spending time with family and friends and actively getting involved in her community. Outside of academics, she enjoys playing hockey, volleyball and skiing. Alexandra is proud to be part of a team that represents such a long history of the McMaster Business school.

Camilo Russo is in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and is specializing in Finance, with a minor in Economics.  He has a passion for sports and thus is very excited to be part of the 38th McMaster World Congress. In addition, he enjoys travelling, hanging out with family, and beating his friends on fantasy football.  Camilo is part of the sponsorship team where he will utilize the skills he has gathered throughout his time at DeGroote, in order to find organizations that will help finance the event.  He looks forward to meeting all the speakers and individuals that will be part of this fantastic conference.

Carlita is a fourth year Kinesiology student minoring in Psychology at McMaster University. She is very excited to be one of the Sponsorship Directors for the 8th McMaster World Congress and hopes to establish and further develop mutually beneficial business relationships between our students and supporting sponsors. When Carlita isn’t busy finding new sponsors, you can find her indulging in artisan cheeses while planning her next voyage. Carlita works for the Equity and Inclusion Office on campus, is a director for Engineers Without Borders-McMaster Chapter and is a faculty representative for the Kinesiology Department. After graduation Carlita aspires to pursue a career in healthcare management or public health. Along with the team, Carlita looks forward to creating a valuable learning experience that will inspire future leaders in the sports industry.

Christopher Vecchi is a second year Commerce student studying at the DeGroote School of Business. He plans on specializing in Finance and Marketing throughout his degree. Chris is also planning on doing the Bizx Exchange program in his third year in either Spain, France or England. When he returns he then plans on partaking in the internship program. Chris enjoys being with his family, hanging out with friends, working out and playing basketball. He is intrigued to be on this years World Congress team to gain skills and knowledge in the marketing realm of business. As one of the marketing directors he is in charge of managing the multitude of social media platforms, to allow for awareness of the conference to be generated.

Monica Caterini is a second year Commerce student at the DeGroote School of Business, striving to specialize in Marketing. Born and raised in Dundas, Hamilton, Monica grew up not far from McMaster campus and is very happy to be able to continue her education in her hometown. Monica has a passion for graphic design and advertisement, and is excited to express her passion through the role of the Marketing Director for McMaster World Congress. In her spare time and for relaxation, Monica enjoys dancing and listening to her favourite bands. Monica is also on the Marketing Team for McMasters’ Degroote Commerce Society, and works part-time through the school year at the local Fortino’s. She enjoys staying busy with school and work as she believes you must work hard to succeed in life. Monica enjoys working with her team and is looking forward to the 38th McMaster World Congress Conference.

Lucas Grenning is a second-year commerce student at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business, hoping to specialize in Accounting. He was born and raised in Hamilton, and has had the opportunity to experience much of what the city has to offer. As the Director of Operations for this year’s conference, Lucas will tackle training and organizing volunteers, acting as a liaison to external delegates, and ensuring the overall event runs smoothly. As an avid hockey fan, Lucas has always had an interest in sports and will translate that passion to the successful execution of the 38th McMaster World Congress.

Alexander Galli is currently in his fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business. He is specializing in Operations with a minor in Geography. He is passionate about sports and therefore is very excited to be part of the recruitment team and hopes to succeed in enlisting a great class of speakers to take part in this prestigious event. In his free time, Alex likes to catch up on TV and spend time with his friends and family.

Alec Jadon is a second-year commerce student at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business, hoping to specialize in finance. Alec was born and raised in Hamilton, and has been fully immersed in local sports and McMaster athletics from a young age. The 38th McMaster World Congress will allow Alec to explore his interests in a new and exciting way. As a part of the speaker recruitment team, Alec is responsible for getting in contact with industry professionals in the sports business world, and communicating information in a timely manner.

Pardeep Ark is currently a fourth-year commerce student specializing in Accounting here at the DeGroote School of Business. With his eyes set on his CPA, Pardeep will be embarking on his designation journey with Deloitte come September 2017. He is the President of MacSOC, a community outreach initiative, and has found a passion for mentoring others in competitions like High School Business Heroes. Pardeep co-captained his high school football team and plays soccer casually. He is very excited to be a part of McMaster World Congress this year and contribute to getting valuable speakers to come to discuss the world of Sports Analytics.
