Welcome to the 39th McMaster World Congress!
Sukhraj Sandhu is in his third year at the DeGroote School of Business, specializing in Finance with a minor in Economics. He is a strong team player who has a keen interest in establishing and developing mutually beneficial business relationships between our students and supporting sponsors. In addition to his love for business, Sukhraj enjoys sports, working out, cars, and growing as an individual. He is ecstatic to be a part of this year’s McMaster World Congress and wishes to provide students with an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and broaden their knowledge base.
Cherry Hanna is in her fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and specializing in accounting. Her passion for learning and meeting new people is what gravitated her to become co-planner for the 39th McMaster World Congress. Through her international experience through a study abroad semester in England, she has gained intrapersonal and leadership skills that she will pass onto the team as she works alongside her peers and industry professionals. During her breaks from academics and extracurricular activities, she likes to take advantage of travel deals and explore countries where she immerses herself in different cultures.
Taylor is a Hamilton native and fifth-year commerce student specializing in accounting. She has both attended and volunteered with the McMaster World Congress in the past and is looking forward to taking a more active role in making the conference a meaningful and inspiring learning experience. When not between the covers of her textbooks or working at her family’s accounting firm, Taylor enjoys running, traveling, drinking (a lot) of coffee, and being involved within her school community. After graduation, Taylor aspires to pursue a legal education with an emphasis on tax law. As part of the sponsorship team, Taylor will work to facilitate positive, mutually beneficial business relationships with new and existing sponsors.
Muffy Phull is currently a fourth-year student at McMaster University in Honours Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Accounting here at the DeGroote School of Business. Returning from a 12-month internship as a Junior Accountant intern, she is very excited to pursue post-graduate studies with the accelerated MBA Program at DeGroote School of Business. As the Undergraduate Student Representative of the Faculty of Business to the Senate of McMaster, I am very pleased and honored to help serve the students of McMaster. Being the president of McMaster’s Punjabi Association and involved in many other extracurricular, she has a great passion for getting involved within the City of Hamilton and McMaster. Outside of academics and extracurricular, she enjoys playing soccer and women’s single badminton. She is very excited to be a part of McMaster World Congress this year as the Sponsorship Director and contribute to the conference.
Raj is currently in her last year of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program, after returning from a 16-month Internship at ArcelorMittal Dofasco. As one of the Sponsorship Directors this year, Raj hopes to build a strong network between the McMaster World Congress and our sponsors by establishing and fostering mutually beneficial business relationships and creating value for our partners. She is very excited to be a part of bringing this years conference to life!
Layal Sabeh is a fourth-year Commerce student at the DeGroote School of Business. Her specialization is in Marketing and Strategic Management with a minor in Economics. Layal brings years of professional experience from both retail and financial industries and also has a passion for community involvement. She is regularly involved in volunteering for local organizations in her spare time. She is excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the 39th Annual McMaster World Congress.
Manpreet Gill is in her fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business and is specializing in Human Resource Management. Through her previous roles at associations such as JDCC and the DeGroote HR Association, she has gained intrapersonal and leadership skills that she will pass onto the team as she works alongside her peers and business professionals. Upon graduation, Manpreet hopes to get her CHRP designation. During her breaks from academics and extracurricular activities, Manpreet enjoys being with family, hanging out with friends, and playing basketball. Manpreet looks forward to meeting all the speakers and individuals that will be part of this fantastic conference!
Jasman Gill is a third-year commerce student at the DeGroote School of Business. As the Director of Operations for this year’s conference, Jasman will tackle the training and organization of volunteers, act as a liaison to external delegates, and ensure the smooth operation of the Congress. Through his many previous leadership roles, he emanates charisma to the surrounding team and has a lot to bring to the table for the 39th McMaster World Congress.
Shaun just completed a 12-month internship and is going into his last year at the DeGroote School of Business. The internship placement reaffirmed his passion for accounting as he looks to pursue his CPA designation. Shaun is excited to be joining the McMaster World Congress team once again as a Logistics Executive. He is looking forward to his last year with the organization and hopes to pass on some of his excitement to his peers, faculty, and the business professionals he will be working closely with
Monica just completed a 16-month internship and is in her fourth year at the DeGroote School of Business. She is hoping to pursue her CPA designation, as she is specializing in Accounting, with a minor in Economics. She is very excited to be a part of this year’s logistics team for the McMaster World Congress.
